MIXED MARRIAGES

Interchurch Families  are often referred to as mixed marriages. These are best described as marriages which typically involve a couple who are both Christians, but represent and practice within different church denominations.

While interchurch couples share a strong bond in their faith and marriage, they may encounter spiritual obstacles and unnecessary challenges due to a lack of current information, despite the significant progress made in the approaches and regulations of our churches in recent years.

Established in 1968, the Association of Interchurch Families offers vital services to address these common issues. Providing a support network in the form of an online information service and in-person events, we cater to interchurch mixed marriage couples and those involved in their pastoral care through our leadership and communities at various levels.
