Weekend Gathering 2025
- 10-12 October
"What can Interchurch Families learn from the first Ecumenical Synod at Nicea, 1700 years ago?"
Interest about the 1700 th anniversary of the Council of Nicea in 2025, and its foundational outcome, the Nicene Creed, is growing across the churches. Our Weekend will capitalise on this interest by reflecting on the significance for interchurch families of the events that helped shape the early church. Fr Dominic Robinson SJ will be joining us, and our other guest speakers will be announced in due course.
Although the details of our theme are still being refined, this booking form is being circulated before full details are available (and much earlier than in previous years) because the extension of the event to two nights, and the revised terms and conditions concerning cancellation charges have resulted in the requirement for bookings to be placed much earlier .
What is changing?
How much does it cost?
“Early Bird” bookings received by 31 January 2025 £240 per person
Bookings received 1 February – 31 March 2025 £260 per person
These prices cover accommodation, meals and part of the cost of organising the event. All remaining expenses will be subsidised by AIF; donations to help offset the subsidy would be most welcome.
Prices for children are available on request to info@interchurchfamilies.org.uk.
Early booking is essential. We have limited spaces and cannot guarantee to accommodate any booking requests received after 31 March . |
Last year a few people reported difficulties in paying the charges or donating online, and others were concerned at the mention that the online payment service is provided by PayPal. Please note that you don’t have to pay online – we are very happy if you wish to pay by bank transfer (commonly called “BACS transfer” – the details for doing so are on the booking form) or by cheque. If you do want to use the online option, please bear in mind that PayPal is just the provider of the service allowing us to receive online payments; you don’t have to have an account with PayPal, and neither will you be added to their customer database if you use the service. They are just the “behind the scenes” software company that makes it all work (just the same as any other online payment system).
